don - i didnt remove the plastic backing. i had Ares drill the holes for me, before he shipped the sidemarkers.

desiZ - well the parts you need for this are fairly simple.

clearsidemarkers - from Ares. talk to him about pricing.
white LEDs - 12,000mcd x100 leds, i ordered off of ebay for 25. professorLED is a good one.
amber LED's - 5000mcd x50 leds, i ordered off of ebay for 9 bucks.
resistors - your local radioshack. you just need to calculate the resistance depending on the rating of the LED's.

ZZZ - i bought the amber from ubiditnow i think. dont remember.
don- ipayed extra because i have bought from him before and i over drove them by 2 volts. they are bright as hell and still working. so i didnt mind. i saw cheaper but i know these are good ones.

once i get the white LEDs in, i'll epoxy, and wire them up. then take some shots. dont worry, PLENTY of pics to come this coming week.

Damn dude, I want some. Would you consider producing them? I know it takes a lot of work, but maybe you could charge how much you think your time is worth.

Hi All

350ZTwinTurbo if you plan on building these to sell then I won't make this offer, not nice to steal someone's business...

I'm an engineer and work at a telecommunications company that builds video transport equipment. I have a few budies and were always talking about building something like this for my 305z and then building some to sell. If I would build some with 20 white and 20 amber LEDs with the same finish as clearcorners anyone interested, if so email me at rlopapa@adelphia.net

Also if I would add 20 white and 16 dual color LEDs with a little electronics anyone interested? Then you would have 36 white when there is no turn signal on and then 16 that would flash when the turn signals are on. Is that too much?

If I can get enough interest then I price the project based on volume and build a prototype.

Let me know,
Robert

u almost lost me on that one man, and thats sayin something. i'm really not wanting to "mass-produce" these for alot of people.
Faluzure - if you want me personally to make these for you, pm me and we can talk from there.
i'm not really looking to get into making alot of these. i am more interested in doing custom lighting and led work. i think i would get pretty bored doing like 10 of these in a row. there are plenty of other producers of sidemarkers. Ares, who i personally recommend, evo-r.net, clearcorners.com etc.

To rlopapa: Hey, I just sent 350ZTwinTurbo a PM, but he's a student and all, so I definitely know where he's coming from when it comes to free time.

If he does in fact turn me down, count me as 1 interested in your LED mod. However, is there anyway you could make a prototype so those of us that are interested could see what to expect? Include pics when you do!
