Default Wanted: Aluminum trim plates for A/C duct in the door

(I've attached some pics to show what I'm talking about...) Anyone know if these are available in Aluminum?

I'm not sure what to call this part, but it's the plastic trim plate with the Z logo that you see only when the door is open.. It covers the duct of the A/C vent next to the door handles.

A friend of mine suggested that it would look great to have this piece in Aluminum to match the rest of the trim, rather than plastic. I know you don't see it unless the door is open, but it is honestly one of my favorite design elements.. how cool is it that you have the Z logo in this crazy spot that you only see when the door is open?

I've attached the original photo, and my 5-minute photochop of what I'm imagining.. anyone know if these exist, or if they could be made?

I've always thought this would be a good idea. I just wonder if it would interfere with the door operation (very unlikely IMO). If someone makes it, people will grab these up...look at the number of people that shell out for the door sills!

I used Testors silver paint for models. It's important to shake the bottle well and use just one stroke with a small paint brush.
