I'm just kiddin - everyone has different tastes. I get made fun of all the time because of my personalized license place. To each his own. We are all here using up our time on this silly forum because we are nuts about customizing our Zs. Everyone likes something different. Go for it.

At least you don't have your plates censored worse than network television. They (AZ) wouldn't let me put "pimpin Z" on my car because Pimp is apparently an offensive term. SUPER WEAK.

Csaba, have you done anything to your dash yet?
I can't figure as to why they would say don't paint it. That texture on there is a rubber based compound so it has the chance of flexing or rubbing if you paint over it. Now if they epoxy over it that might be a solution (some have done this, toykilla has) but I personally think the sanding is the way to go.
They also may have said no sanding since sanding the parts is a major pain in the a$$!!!!
Here is the shifter piece that I finished last week (finally). I sanded the texture completely off it before I painted it. It looks pretty sweet.

I haven't done anything yet. Still thinking about what should be done.

But the where isn't as important as what. When you have this done just be sure to use a good quality paint (there are a few good ones out there). I use PPG DBC line, it's expensive stuff, but it's worth it because it is a perfect match (or pretty close, I certainly can't tell the difference).
All you need is the paint code, you can get that from nissan.
As far as what you do, I can't say anything other than the painted does look pretty sweet. I've got the rest of the center dash parts in process sitting on my kitchen table (I just need to buff them to shine). When I finally get some time to finish them I will post a completed picture.
Good luck on this and if you want any other help let me know, I'll help when I can.
