Default Painted console

I took my car to a bodyshop this week. I asked them if they could paint the central console matching the silver on the inside door handle. They said it is not going to be a perfect match and they also adviced against sanding the texture off the panels. I did not really understand why. Does anyone know a reason why a plastic pannel should not be sanded.? I also am looking for matching paint. Is it possible to get the original factory paint at all?

Thanks,

Has anyone worked with Elegantwooddesigns.com? Know how to contact them? I have not been able to get a reply to my emails. I have some questions about their CF dash.

Thanks!

Elegantwooddesigns.com dos not even exist on the web. Are you sure about the spelling? Anyways, there are a lot of other companies on the web wich does the same thing. You could ask another one too.

I went to his shop last week and talked to him. He quoted me for $400 for the center consol plus $100 more for the little smooth parts at the door handels. In the mean time I had a concern about the glare in the windshield. I am afraid the glossy finnish might reflect too much light. So now I am looking into wraping the central console and the top parts of the door panels with orange leather. I think it would look awesome. I'll post pictures when I have them done.

not really. Dark color will have more glare. I do see glare out of my console but it's just a small area.

I just posted your pic in the photoshop area hoping someone can make the blue white. Did they paint the console with the nav door shut? and did they tape parts off?

Default Painted Console

I assume you have to remove the console to have it painted like this. You say I should bring it to my body shop? Anyone have a good recommendation for the Phoenix area? I would like to have my console painted Silver once I get the 03 Nav Door.
