lights set up?
I am looking to increase the visibility at night while driving my base z and was thinking about this, instead of replacing my halogens with HID's. Replace stock h7's with SilverStars and get xenarc auxilary HID driving lights...Anybody think this is an OK idea and would be just as good, if not better than going with a HID conversion Kit???
silver stars reduce output... so that doesnt seem fortuitous.
as for auxilary lights, sure, but how much light do you need... thats up to you. I dont know really what they even are... are they like HID fog lights? if so, those ussually shoot pretty low.
I think the problem most people are having is not used to a somewhat low car, and think their lights should shine as far as higher mounted lights would. but they cant... and if they did theyd be pointing at oncoming traffic.

could give em a shot. I thought silverstars were just another "xenon" look alike bulb, which ussually involve some sort of blue tint which dims output. I could be wrong.
fog lights will help the area between your headlights and the car, they also shoot under the fog. but do almost nothing as far as illuminating farther than the headlights or even brightening the same area. they are so low to the ground... I had them on my pickup, so they were mounted about as high as the Zs headlights, and still didnt get too much more output from them.
aimed them out a bit more once, got pulled over within a week.
