source to make CF rear doors for g35 sedan?
my g35 sedan will eventually become a full show-street-has/to/many mods type car that won't be daily driven (once i either build the vq and do a 6-spd swap, or do my rb26 swap).
i'm in a never-ending quest to lighten my car... my last weight was 3200 ibs wet (1/4 tank without me in it, with auto tranny too). keep in mind its a fully loaded g35 sedan with a full alpine stereo =)
once i do a cage in the rear, i won't really care about the rear doors for safety purposes. my back seats are stripped anyway. i'm honestly looking for something like a carbon-fiber or cfrp replica of the exterior door skin, with maybe a lexan window, and some latches inside the cabin to keep it closed. the rear doors have to weigh atleast 100-130 pounds each, so its a good way in my mind to shed decent weight off the g35 sedan.
i don't thinking finding someone to do it in fiberglass would be difficult, but i don't want any fiberglass on my car (if possible).
anyone have any ideas of where i should look to get this done? race fab shops? cf formers/designers? i know it won't be cheap. but... i'm thinking... LONG-term... and BIG-picture for my project...
