I'm in. 100 seems pricey. Anyone have a thread for instructions for taking headlight apart? Or anyone in Houston do it. I'd pay to have it done cause I just don't trust myself w/ stuff like this.

If you are going to smoke it why not just use RC car spray tint that they use on lexan car bodies? Thats what i use for IS turn signals to black them out.

E-mail that I received from these guys

Also we will offer a clearing service as well as just the lens. Our installer has done a number of 350Z already
I believe they charge $235 + shipping for this on their other cars and the price of the strip is included on that. I think they have a 48hr turnaround if you are concerned about having your car just sitting there.

There are several forum members who have expertise in opening and resealing the headlight assembly...Mr. Zipps and Dave079 amoung others. Last time I checked Zipps turned them around in three days...cost was around $150.

Cant justify spending $100 for two pieces of plastic. Good Luck tho.. I mean, two Customade 25mm wheelspacer, machined aluminum, from Wheeladapters.com cost me $190.....

Way overpriced.

wheels spacers are 100x cheaper to make than these strips lol

these strips require a mold to begin with; and then the actual pouring. spacers are 5$ in aluminum and 30sec with a machine running off a very simple autocad design. granted the machine is expensive as hell. there are online places that let you design anything you want in their own cad browser program and will cut it for you for like 20$.

GOOD NEWS, received an update and we are good to go!!

Here is an update. We have a quote back from our manufacture, and we have
green lighted the producion. This is a formal step in the process. From that
we can set pricing. We have set the pricing for these at 60.00 + shipping.

The next step is to have an engineering sample delivered to us for the final
Green light. At that point, we will post the picture for others to see. Once
we sign off on the sample, the production run will start. At that point, we
will start to pre orders for them at a price of 55.00 + shipping.

I'm still gathering e-mail info @ clearlights@gmail.com just leave me your e-mail address and will foward this to them once it's on pre-orders.

wow that is an incredable price. well under what I was being charged by that crappy manufacter.

if you dont mind saying; you going with injection molding or casting. what colors are you looking at(more than 1?)?

whats the 60 vs 55? 55 to preorder? 60 when their available?

*ahem* from personal experience with this will they be readily available(to your knowledge lol)
