is it hard to just install LEDS in the strip part? cus Im going all amber LEDS (side Z emblem, front lower corner lights). If not, where can I find me quality LEDS for the inside of the headlight strips?

ps. if i want to replace the orange bulb above the hid lights, what is the best one to get? please help

p.p.s. if they ever make the clear strips count me in too

actually, the hardest thing part about putting LED's there is getting the correct spacing. if you take your time and have patience, measure and remeasure, then it will go off with out a hitch.

Update: I have seen the sample and it looks great. It also fits perfect. So I know for a fact that this is moving forward. The vendor is looking for someone in the Richmond VA area that want to be the first test subject. Anyone interested??

Here is an update. We have a quote back from our manufacture, and we have
green lighted the producion. This is a formal step in the process. From that
we can set pricing. We have set the pricing for these at 60.00 + shipping.

The next step is to have an engineering sample delivered to us for the final
Green light. At that point, we will post the picture for others to see. Once
we sign off on the sample, the production run will start. At that point, we
will start to pre orders for them at a price of 55.00 + shipping.

I'm still gathering e-mail info @ clearlights@gmail.com just leave me your e-mail address and will foward this to them once it's on pre-orders.

I'm not sure you ever got my email, as I never got a reply. I suppose if this ever materializes before I sell the car, you'll post something though.

Default Sorry For Being Mia.

Hey Guys, sorry I've been MIA. I've been very busy in work and like all of you waiting patiently for the size to be adjusted. I know that they have been working on this and as all of you guys may know it's an on going process to get it just right. Well I do have good news and that is that I have 2 pairs in my hands. They are just samples and they seem to be different size so this weekend I'm going to try to test fit them in my car. If all goes well it should be another month until it will be available to the public. I think they will start taking pre-orders as soon as I get them the approval on a test fit. Since it was hand made there's a bit of a haze on the top part of the arch...can't see so much on the smoked as you can on the clears. They have assured me that the production will NOT have this problem. Here are some pictures of them:

Before I started to put it on, they told me that the clears was 1/16 of an inch short. I did the install over the weekend and it was HELL. The 350 housing is a ***** to work on. Some of the problems I ran into was that the HID ballast is hard to remove. After you remove the ballast, there's another weird shapped screw..therefore during the baking process we just left it on. Also since the strip was 1/16 of an inch shorter we put some silicone under the strip to hold in it's place. All in all tooks us 12 hours for the whole install including the 2 1/2 hr. wait time for the paint to dry. The fit looks good, aside from the fact that it's short...they told me that THIS PROBLEM HAS ALREADY BEEN FIXED....A NEW MOLD WAS CREATED WITH THE CORRECT SIZE. Aside from that it looks great! And another thing is, make sure you remember what your headlight looks assembled. When/if you take it apart you will find out that unless you try to put it together as close to as the original position as possible, you will have problems with the curve of the car matching the curve of the headlight. Was it worth it?? You be the Judge.
