Carbon fiber dash trim kits
I'm not a big fan of dash trim kits, but this one isn't too bad, for those that like carbon fiber. Don't really care for it on the Frost interior, but it would probably look pretty cool on the black. Check it out: http://www.dashkits.net/nis35sporcar.html

the first one has that big Z, I donno what the hell it is, but its fugly, why they did that is beyond me. it doesnt even look real...
now the second one is nice, but I dont see that you get the nav compartment door. its blank on the lay out. is that possible?

If you look at the template for the first kit, http://www.dashkits.net/nissan350z.html , You'll notice the nav. door piece is actually two peices. Not sure why they did that, but maybe has something to do with why the other kit does not have a nav. door piece at all.
I like some pieces, but not others. Why would I want to cover up the nice aluminim part of the wheel. I love that. I would like to cover the plain black door controlls in aluminum as well as maybe the air vents and the arm rest part of the console. I would be weary of doing the radio because if the cut out does not match exactly with each button, it will look like ***. Very interested to see good pics of one done up though.

I also agree that the first kit is ugly - looks like it is tacked on as an afterthought. The second one is nicer, but still is an applique. I will wait for a CF piece that replaces the current plastic center console piece from shifter to the three gauges on top!
BTW - did everyone notice that the radio surround piece is applicable only to the Bose radio unit?

Hey, I didn't say I _condone_ any of these things. These are all tacky add-ons if you ask me. I was just supplying an alternate link because I had gone looking for something myself. Appliques are just bad news. If someone actually comes out with complete plastic replacements, I'd be very interested. The Z interior materials ain't all that and a bag of cheese, ya know!

dont see how its a tacky add on tho. the stock is plastic... I will agree it replaces something that was fine to start with. but it the origonal was fake carbon fiber, so may as well go with the real deal.

I'm just interested in 'upgrading thru replacement' of the materials, not covering it up with something that looks like it's out of a JC Whitney catalog.
Personally I don't like those kits, I prefer the mods done by Axis if done in blue I would go for it. I think the colored add ons add something to the cabin and the CF on the console is just enough.
