I didn't start off trying to do this, but after removing the OEM wing, and finding four 1/2 inch holes... I had to come up with something, then I thought of the Strosek wing, which I really like.




This is a 2001+ Toyota Celica GT wing, ordered from Spoilerdepot.com for $194 shipped and painted in OEM Nissan Pikes Peak Pearl. Paint matches perfectly.

The OEM needed to be slotted so that the back of the wings would line up. Measured 15 times, and took out the dremel... Here is the finished product.

 

donest look bad.. but its werid having 2 spoilers on a car..

 

yeah.. it's a nice wing, but have the OEM with it looks odd.

 

I like the look better than just having the celica wing..... for what it's worth.

 

I just got to look at the set-up from more than 10 ft away, (since I was in my garage all night... )

It looks MUCH better in person, really sets off the back end. I'll take more pics from a little further away.

 

I think it's a really good alternative to the Strosek setup, even better looking. But I think it still looks wierd having a spoiler on top of a spoiler.

 

I like it. I like the fact that you DIY 'ed even better. Be proud

 

I think from certain angles it looks good....from others I'm not sure. I bet in person it looks good.

That looks pretty sweet man.

 

I like. The stock lip is to reduce drag by reducing turbulance behind the car while the wing is to produce downforce. Many racecars have both of these type spoilers/wings. Just watched a race with the new '05 Porche that had this type of wing. Look at the Nismo, it has a spoiler under the wing.

i think it looks pretty good, doesn't look weird at all. Hell even some Porsches do it. I gotta give u props for dremeling the wing, how did u get the curvature of the slot to be exact?

 

+1 Especially for what they want to charge for their stuff. Holy Crap! Does it put itself on? It better for that price.
