So when I was doing my audio install I realized how easy it would be to make a back seat... anyone tried to do it in our Z?

Do not flame or the flames will be returned.

I just want to know if anyone has thought about it more than I have. I would not do it as I enjoy only being able to carry me and one other person but would be interesting if someone did it.

 

I imagine it'd be similar to some of the last gen rx-7's in japan had the option of a backseat instead of the storage bins... and it was pretty useless cuz it was so much smaller than backseats on some 2+2 cars. Maybe enuff room for some bags? (older crx's had this option too)

 

most of us bought the z because it's a sporty 2 seater. I considered the G35 cuz it had 4, but I decided the 2 seater is better. I think the trunk is too low to put seats in the back.

 

theres no leg room; you'd be sitting on the gas tank; and to really have any room at all youd have to yank that metal brace up where the mailbox bins are; cause thats where your shoulders would have to go.

 

If / when they do make a 2+2 I imagine it will look pretty similar to the G35c.

With the past generation Z's they weren't making an Infinity "sister" car so who knows if they'll ever go 2+2 on the Z33.

But, I wouldn't attempt it myself.
