So what do you guys think? CF or FRP? I plan on painting it anyway. Was leaning towards the FRP since it'll be easier to fix vs. CF one if it ever gets chipped or cracked. But I was also think of painting the hood but leaving the vents CF. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Sorry, posted wanting to know the weights on the hoods but didn't read the whole thread. How exactly do you delete a post?

So is there any reply on the water leak??

I know the Hasemi Motorsports piece comes with two covers that can be attached from the inner side of the hood on the rainning days... would you guys design something like this to this hood as well?

cheers,

richie

They are currently working on a water guards for the hood as an add-on piece for later on.

Est to be about $80 for CF and $40 fiberglass (black)

i would get the CF vs the FRP as the CF is stronger, but true you can't repair it if your break it as easy... but don't think you can break a hood really unless you have a big accident and most of the time either hood will be screwed in the crash... but to save some money the FRP isn't bad either.

you know how much it cost for the water guards option? why can't you guy have it build in since it make no sense to have water dumping down on the engine bay when we wash the car or when it's raining.

Yeah. That's the only thing holding me back at the moment is the water guards. As Bubble pointed out, a good handfull of us don't want water dumpin on our engines if it rains or when we wash our car. Any idea when you'll be releasing the water guards? I'd rather buy it as a set rather than seperately especially if you don't expect to release the guards anytime soon.

What's the story on the vents? The pics appear to have the vents molded closed and I don't see another post describing why it looks this way in the pics.

Also, what sort of testing has been done to verify it cools the engine bay. I'm running Vortech with Crawford headers and my bay gets very hot. The Seibon TS, which has similar style vents, made absolutely no difference in how hot the engine bay ran.

If this design is modelled off the GTC cars, it may work better. Though, I'd like to see some actual testing proving the engine runs cooler before I purchase another hood. The reason I bought the Seibon one was for function not for look and I was sorely disappointed with the results. In fact, I'm back to the stock hood now.
