Default Swapping Seats

I have a set of Sparco Torino's I would like to transfer to the Z when I get her. Obviously, I know I will need new mounting brackets and such.

My main concern is thought I read somewhere that there is a problem removing seats because of airbag sensors or something. I ordered my Z w/o the side or curtain airbags. If I want to swap the seats, will I have any problems in regards to alarms being set off?

I did a search and nothing came up, which suprised me seeing how long this site has been active. Thanks in advance.

If you have seat airbags, I believe you will set up the airbag warning light once you replace the seats with aftermarket ones. If you don't have seat airbags, you should be fine.

Yeah, I ordered the car only with the standard front dual airbags.

Thanks for the responses.

for those who did order seats with side air bags, you can buy the resistor that plugs into the car to turn the light off. you can get them from mynismo.com or z1performance.com

We sell the Airbag plugs for the sensors, but you only need these if you have the seats with the airbags.
Sounds like you don't need these, and you will have no worries at all swapping seats.

Tony,

If you have side airbags, swap the seats, but you add the NISMO Airbag warning removal; will the courtain airbags (the ones on the frames) still deploy???

Thanks.

^^ Yes, you just won't have the heating option. The floor mounting points are identical...
