I have a 2003 6MT(no navigation), and i want to remove from the shifter housing up

 

Sure, here are the steps you need to take:

1. remove center console
2. paint
3. re-install center console
4. drink beer

 

J/K man, I don't know if you'll find a walk-thru for this project specifically, but there's a thread regarding removing the center console (do a search... if it works).

As for the painting, are you planning on doing that yourself?
