Pay,

You do not want to repaint the whole car!!! Trust me on this one. A good paint job will cost big $$$. Especially if you going with a different color from the original, the old paint has to be removed entirely.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that man. Here are my comments to your choices:

[1] repaint the whole car since i wanted a new color

- Yeah, repainting your entire car will be big $$$$. I'm talking about 5K-10K depending on where you go and what paint you use.

[2] repaint just the bumper

- Now if you decide to paint the bumper, that should only run you about 400-500. This price is about the same if you get a new bumper as well. From the looks of your bumper, it doesn't look too bad. At least your bumper didn't crack.

[3] get a new bumper with original color

- I wouldn't recommend getting another bumper unless you're getting something entirely different than your OEM one. That's unless you can find someone who is selling their used OEM bumper (in the same color & in good condition) after upgrading. This should run you roughly around 100-200 depending on the person selling it.

Definitely don't repaint your whole car. That's huge money, especially if you have them drop the engine to paint the engine bay. You'll be out of a car for a while too. I think you're best option would be to look around the forums for someone selling a bumper in the same color as yours. It'll be a lot cheaper than repainting the bumper or buying a whole new one. If you can't get a bumper from someone else, take it to a few body shops and find out if it's cheaper to repaint or buy a whole new bumper. Good luck man, sorry bout the wounded Z .

i had my car repainted when it got into an accident. but it was a big accident that was almost $10k in body damage (drives like new tho) and i opted to repaint the car. the car was originally PPW and i painted it Toyota superwhite II. the car came out really well and im very happy that i changed the color because i wasnt content with the dull PPW color.
