Default Nismo kit, where to order from?

Ok I decided on nismo for the body. I cant decide on the whole bumper or just the lip. Also what sides look the best. Ive heard that there is 2 types of the kit, the jdm and some other. I want a kit that I can paint and slap on with no modifications. What website sells them and who has the best as far as looks and fitment. Pics of other members cars would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey soldisnake,

As mentioned on my PM to you. Fitment on both the JDM & USDM are really good. The main differences you will see is the JDM has the full bumper vs the USDM which just has the lip. Also the flared portion of the JDM sideskirts are smaller than the USDM which is more aggressive (see Bat's thread below). Now as far as material, I believe the JDM uses a high quality fiberglass whereas the USDM uses Urethane (which IMO is much better).

NINJA-Z has probably one of the best shots of the USDM Nismo Kit.

Here are some good pics of the JDM Nismo Kit
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....nismo+usdm+jdm

Here is some pics Bat put together that shows a good comparison of the USDM vs JDM sideskirts:

Once again, I would recommend getting this kit from Performance Nissan.

Hope this helps!

BTW...when deciding between a front lip spoiler vs an entire bumper, remember that you'll definitely spend more money purchasing & painting a full bumper vs just the lip. Just something to consider since you'll still have to count in prep, paint, & install into this equation. Good luck!

The US is my choice. They look a whole lot better. Are those the sides that performance nissan sells?

You ever get some pics of your buddies car? Also, since you have 20's and the same springs as me do you think the kit will look nice or would I need to drop lower?

I just got these from Performance Nissan. They are US sides. No modification, and comes with all mounting hardwares. They are made from polyurethane.

How much did you pay for them? And did you know your paint does not match up at all. It looks like they painted it a lighter silver then that silver. Sorry to say that but I am **** when it comes to paint matching up.

Figured I wouldn't bother since the pictures are essentially the same as the ones posted on the link I provided above. In fact, the pictures I've linked are even better. You shouldn't have problems with our setup. Keep in mind that our springs do not drop our car as much as others out there (e.g. Eibachs). If you're worried about scraping, that will always be a factor even now that you do not have a kit. Adding a kit (depending on the style) will increase your chances since some kits hang lower or are bulkier than others. The Nismo kit doesn't hang really low & is not that bulky so I wouldn't worry about it too much. The most common part people scrape on any type of kit, however, has always been the front lip. So just be careful & you shouldn't have a problem.

They have 2 styles that I know of that they are currently selling:

[1] The Nismo wing is made of the same material as your OEM bumper which is called Thermopolyolefin (TPO). This wing is posted at $308.

[2] They also have a JDM wing (Techno) made of high quality fiberglass & is slightly designed differently from the Nismo wing in order to cover the holes made by your OEM wing. This wing is posted at $285.

Again, I would simply talk to Performance to see if you can get better pricing since you are a member.

I think it was $351 plus $95 shipping.

The color is off a little, but I think the picture shows more than in person...

Awesome. Do you have the lip too or is that the veilside v1? Got more pics of your car? Maybe from a front and side angle so I can see how much the sides flare out. Thanks!

Not sure who sells them now a days. Every since the USDM version came out, they've been harder & harder to find. Most likely you'll have to special order them from Japan unless you're willing to go with a replica.
