It definitely was dirty at the time. It was really crappy outside and I was installing inside my garage. Didn't wash the car before I took the pics.
How do passive jammers set off your detector? They don't send out any signal. They only take any radar signal then hits them and spit it back out mixed with an FM "chirp" so as to supposedly confuse the gun that will be taking the return reading.

A couple of racoons poped out my drivers side "plastic panel" that nobody really knows what it is for, I took the other out the other day when I put my lazer shifters in. I think that they are for mounting aftermarket foglights.

You could say the same about the area surrounding the grille area. These are simple plastic blocks. They don't direct anything, they just block off the ends of the grille area and prevent air from passing through. They could have just made the grille smaller on the sides and got the same effect.
I just took mine out. All i didd was take the bumper off and cut it from the inside with a razor blade. It has a perfect edge if you fallow the natural lines. It's def fused and one peice enless they've changed on the newer models. Less things to block air the better, thats how i feel
The pieces that we are discussing are held in by plastic pins. They are called, by Nissan, Shield, Sight, R and Shield, Sight, L, part number 62234CD000 and 62235CD000, cost $33.71 each. I guess if Nissan calls them Sight Shields that they are not any of the other things people think they are. They are to block the stuff behind them from sight. Period.
