Default leather seat installation

i just added leather seats to my base model. Does the base model have a connection for the electric seats b/c right now i cant move the seats? If it doesnt how much will nissan charge to hook it up? If it does where is the wiring, under the carpet?

nissan just quoted me a ridiculous amount to have this all wired through my dash and all that. I dont know what to do? thinking about possibly selling the seats. My other option is just wiring the seats with a fuse so if it blows i only lose the motor in the seats and the fuse? Anyone with any ideas?

Only Touring models have the factory harness for the heated/power seats.
To buy it after the fact you need the $1700.00 harness and about 30 hours to rewire the whole car. Sheer lunacy.....

Most people that have added factory leather to a model other than the touring have hooked them up to the power window feed.

May I ask what you paid for them?

thanks

Man it is not that complicated. You are not wiring a thrill ride that will be on all the time. You move the seat into the correct adjustment and you are done. I ran mine in my house off a goofy converter to run 12v neons inside. Just jumper an accessorie only power feed at the fusebox with one of those 5 dollar thingiees at the auto parts store, make sure you have a fuse in the circuit, and wire her up. I did it and I have had ZERO problems. It is not, I repeat not, a $1700 harness issue that will put all kinds of different connectors in the car you don't need. Shoot, if you are that worried, use an amplifier wiring kit and run it from the battery. It is not a big deal.
