here you go. I cut the rubber pigtail off of it and ran the wires through the hole. sealed it up with black silicone.

Default new style plug

I found a new vinyl plug that is flat on the edges.

nice install, are there any sleaker sirus antennas? ay kind of internal antenna? I dont want to clean up the rear by removing this stuff and then add a new antenna =/,

Yes, the new antenna that comes with Sirius is much smaller/sleeker.

yes, they have antennas that are about the size of a zippo now...

that antenna installation though has got to be one of the cleanest ones i have seen. nice job.,

Very nice DIY guide. It was very easy and quick although I still need to match the paint and seal it. This particular piece came with a foam gasket as well, and it seams to be a pretty tight seal so I might not use any silicone, but I will keep a close eye on it.

Part I bought at Home Depot for $1.99:


Pic of the piece not installed. I cut about 1" off of the "bolt" using tin snips.

Overall I really like the clean look and I have no use for a rear wiper. In the 2 years I had my G35C I never had a desire to have one either, and its back glass is almost as flat. Thanks again guys.

hopefully by friday i'll have picks from the body shop. i'm having the entire rear hatch shaved and repainted, including the slupid wiper hole. can't wait!
