Besides the samco hoses, I was looking for ways to get the remaining heater hoses a specific color. Im doing as much red as I can. Right now i have vynal spray on there in red... it wont crack unless i bend the pipes a lot, but i think it will eventually look ugly... Looks great now though... One thing is... i dont know if its safe to cover these hoses with anything like that... its not paint its vynal.. or however you spell the damn word...

Liquid colored rubber... I was thinking about spraying in red, then giving a clear gloss rubber coat to match my silicone turbo hoses.

Is this safe or am i risking melting/fire in my engine?
You can do a search for plasti-dip... i didnt find any information on this matter... someone please chime in so i dont catch myself on fire

Well... right now my engine bay has nothing in it!

I am swapping the engine myself, the stock one is out, and I will be recieving a fully built up one in a week... plans are for 600WHP.

You can check out my post on the Forced Induction section sticky'd on the top... Reguarding an engine swap... you can see right where I am at the moment.. and there are a whole bunch of pics..

On top of the build I am stressing as well on having a very nice engine bay, show quality. There are some good parts that are going to be going into cosmetics... I was just stuck on plain old black hoses... i might end up going steel braided if i have to.

 

I used Krylon Plati Spray Pain in Red and Clear coat and have had no issues with it, Samco and gorunding kits look nice to accent, do you want to cover all hoses though? Not too many are visible...BTW would take pics but my car is at shop for next couple months (wrecked my Z...bad but fixable)
