Is the only option to fully replace the headlight housing to get rid of this amber reflector? Or can it be removed?

It can be removed... involves heating the headlamp (to remove the clear plastic part of the housing) and then removing the amber strip. You can PM ares for details of a replacement clear strip....

In doing that, itd be a good assumption that if not done properly I can get water leaking into my headlight causing condensation, oui?

Yeah, that is a feasible conclusion... from what I've read here (and I personally know a few people that have done it) you should be okay if you take the time to do it right. There are some tutorials around here somewhere on how to do this... let me see if I can dig that up...

well, if you decide to do it yourself, just remember to heat up the headlamps so you can soften the glue and push them together as much as you can, then using some silicone sealant to prevent any moisture from getting in there.
