Default Armrest pad for center console?

I was checking out courtesyparts.com and noticed an armrest pad that goes on the center console above the heated seats buttons and is secured by two strips of velcro. That's where my arm wants to rest and am curious if any of you have this and what you think of it. Seems like a natural to me, except for the velcro. Any other solutions?

Thanks,

Todd

I don't know about that particular arm rest. It would annoy me to have to keep moving an armrest just to access the heated seat buttons or even open the center console lid.

Instead of dealing with all that hassel, I would just fabricate one of my own that would fit better around the area.

I have one and love it.
I modified it by removing the velcro strips and putting on a small hinge on the front edge. Thus allowing me to still access the buttons below.

The ZRest does not interfere with the center console

could you please post a picture of your interior for reference? I just want to see how it would look installed.

I bought a different style armrest a year or so back. Very simple; it just lays on top of the console and runs the entire length of the console. Even has a cup holder. It works great. Alas, the guy making them gave it up. You might try checking eBay.

Kitkos, Could you tell me what kind of hinge and exactly how you installed the armrest? Sounds like you made the perfect solution. Don't know if I'm the one to install it, but I'm sure Nissan could hook me up.

Thanks, Todd

I made my own out of a knee pad (I think it was under $40 from perf nissan) and it has been working great for the last 4k miles. It is positioned so I can still push the console lid button and it goes up with that. Sufice it to say, when I have a cup in the holder I suddenly notice how much I like having it, so I hardly ever use the cup holder.

How I did it here.

I ordered the Zrest yesterday. Hey ZH, did you attach it with the velcro? If so, is it easy to get to the heated seat buttons? I like the idea Kitkos had with using a hinge. Regardless, that area NEEDS a pad there, at least for me.

I would remove some of the velcro from the posterior part (toward the back of the car) that way it is anchored firmly in front and won't move and you can easily flip it open forward to access the buttons.

Since there is little use for heated seats in Florida, my rest stays on all the time. It does not interfere with the operation of the middle console.

Thanks guys. Sounds like a plan ZH. In So. Cal, there may be just a few times I'll use the heated seats, especially as the roadster is a second car. Z, I used to live in FL and know you never need it! Your roadster looks great as I just said in the spoiler thread. Nice seats too!!

I would probably get arrested in California if they caught me driving my Z on a public road...

Default neckrest

Hello, ZBoater.

That's a nice setup you have there.

I was wondering where you got your nismo head/neck rest. a quick search on google and ebay netted me other cheap looking nismo setup but not the same ones you have.
