Love the color, since I got the Sunset.
How do you install it?
Where do the wires go?

to do a clean install in the back you have to drill a hole in the current cover to run the wires through. Otherwise they would be exposed. You hook one wire to the rear trunk light and another to 12v power, where ever you want (like the cigar lighter) Door sills you hook one to 12V power and one to the door switch. Thats it. I have the sills and rear strut cover, don't know if I am going to install the rear one.

Where is the best place to power this? I'm guessing from the cigarette lighter so I guess that means that it will be on all the time when the car is on?

I have this kit and really its not that bad to install. The only thing is that I would not run it to the cigar lighter cause they will only come on when you have your ignition switch turned and usually the only time you see them is when you are getting out of the car after you have turned it off. I was thinking of hooking the rear up to my brake light also, what do you think? I ended up just running it to a 12v constant off of the fuse box, the other wires go to the door switch on your door jamb. Install was about 2hours but that was the first time I took apart the interior on my car.

I am leery of drilling in the stock rear bar. I got the set of three brand new on ebay for $125 or so.

When the rear strut is lit when your driving is there a big glare on the back glass because I would imagine so.

IMO...I think these should only turn on when you open the door or trunk just like the dome lights. Unless you install a seperate switch to allow you to do this for "show" reasons. I think driving around with it on will give you some unwanted attention (i.e. cops).

+1...I say wire them all to two power sources. One, a switch, and two, both doors(and if you want, the rear hatch). That way you can switch them on/off. And...if you open either door or the hatch they will all come on. That's how I'd do it. If they came in blue I would get the door sill ones.
