Default Project Highhat ;)

SO after a massive mount of research and I have determined that there is no hardtop aftermarket option of the roadster ...

So ... me and my buddy have decided to make one ourselves ... well attempt to make one ourselves at least ....

A little background about us .... we have been in the buisness of custom wire harnesses for about 5 years .... now as boring as that seems ... we started a new "division" last year doing custom metalwork (my previous life i was a machinist) this started out as just to build framworks for custom control panels (industrial work) but recently grew into automotive.

To make a long story short we noticed that the NorthWest needs 2 things ....

Better nightlife
A Custom Car Shop

We are now working on bulding out a few new cars to promote both .... we just finshed a Mitsubishi Eclipse and are in the proccess of getting big power to that one .... (turbos) (its all show and no go right now)

What we notced about that job was there is nothing .... SPECTACULAR about it ... nothing that is defined about the car ... nothign that says this is a VC MotorSport car.

We are still trying to figure out something for it.

Our second project is going to be a 80% CF body with the remaining body a black with black and silver fleck .... to match the CF of course ...

this brings us to the roadster ....

It NEEDS a hardtop ....

Our first idea was to just get a coupe ... or even a g35 .....but i think i may have found a buisness opertunity here with the roadster

So ... this thread is to start the proccess of presenting information on the current work we have made and discoveries so far .... (honestly ... we havn't gotten to far so this is going to take some time)

i guess on of the reasons i post this is to keep a fire lit under my but to continue working on it .... and also to get some ideas and feedback

The only reason i didnt get a roadster is because there was no hardtop available for it at all. Thats one of the things i like about the s2000. I looked for a hardtop for the Z but couldnt find a company that makes one. It u guys make one, i give u props. It will definetely be succesful.

The hardtop makes the s2000 that much better, easily the best mod.

well the hard part right now is figuring out how to mount it ... the front should be easy ... its the back that has us scratching our heads

we will probibly end up mounting a bracket uner the plastic shroud and then maybe making a custom shroud ??

just thinking ....
