Default NISMO front lip fitment issue...

I just installed the US Nismo Front Lip. However, there is a slight gap (several millimeters) along the top edge where the lip meets the front bumber, on both the left and right side. I tried using double sided tape along the top edge to press it against the bumper, but the tape was useless, it wasn't strong enough. Was wondering if anyone has had the same problem and if so what was done to fix it. Thanks.

Its supposed to come with some rubber strips that go along the top edge of the lip on both sides of the grille. I had no issues.

i had the rubber trimming put on as well... it still shows a small gap. if you look down from the top you can actually see the double sided tap. looks pretty bad...

according to what i heard, usually it shows some gap when you placed templeate not perfect so you actually drilled holes a bit off from where it suppose to be.

i spend an hour and measure here and there to make sure i placed template right when i installed mine. i have 1 -2 mm gap but those cover by the rubber piece. (thanks god)

+1^ that template sucks, when you put it on different times you coul dbe way off from the previous time, I kept trying and putting the lip up to the bumper to see and finally went with the best guess and was still off on one or two of the holes which I had to enlarge and use wahsers to make up for the oversize hole I now had, but I have no gap.

template was just way too confusing. so did without it. just lined up the bumber and gave it my best guess. then drilled the holes. m/b larger than required... i'm thinking of taking the bumper off again and drilling bigger holes, hopefully that'll do the trick. and also retaping it with thicker tape.

As I said I ended up having to drill some bigger and use washers, but I did not use any tape and eneded up with none or minimal gap.

the template has to be set up perfectly...

takes a while to get them perfectly lined up... its easiest when done at eye level (car up in the air)

i was saying before how i installed it without the manual. and it holds up ok... i didn't use the spacers or stamped nuts. i was just curious how important those SPacers and Stamped nuts were... do they pull tight the lip against the bumper??

Yes, the stamped nuts are what will pull the lip close to the bumper.

Not sure but I would think you could find them at a hardware store, just get the right diameter to fit over the stud, then what you can do is push the lip in as far as you can and then put the washer in all the way to hold it.
