New: Harness Bar / Chassis support
After looking for a decent harness bar setup for 04 Z, I have went and had one custom designed and made. Steel Envisions was able to come up with a really good design that gave me what I needed with bonuses.
1st off I needed some things that would do the following:
1. Bolt on (use of Factory mount points from Seat Belts)
2. Retain use of Stock Seatbelts if needed
3. Be stronge enough to withstand impacts. (God forbid)
This is what I got:
1. Bolt on (use of Factory mount points from Seat Belts)
2. Retain use of Stock Seatbelts if needed
3. Stronge enough to withstand impacts.
4. Allow full use of Storage spaces, and seat use.
5. Does not hinder view.
6. Can Mount a camera on it safely.
7. Look awsome and contours to the inside of the car.
8. Adds chassis Support.
9. Stainless Steel throughout (2" in Mandel bent Pipeing for the main and 1" in for the pivot supports.)
After talking to them I asked if I could toss it out to the masses and see what we get. They told me that they are just beginning to get started with this new line and the 350z and G35 are their 1st cars.
They said they could offer a opening special price at $375.00 for the Stainless Brushed, Setup, which will retail when if comes out at $450.00. They are also going to offer a polished verision but I am not sure about the price.
After Pricing out Sparco's at $399.00 (1-3/4 " powercoated, straight bars) This seemed to be a much better deal.
I am uploading these pic to see what you all think.
Thanks,
Scott

After looking at the avalon model I would have to agree. Their bar seems to offer little for driver/passenger comfort and looks to be placed right through the rear viewing area.

I like the BCR Harness bar, but at $500 this other bar is looking very good in comparision.

what I don't understand is why these bars cost so much when a rollcage from Kirk that will do the same plus so much more costs about just as much... can someone explain me? What am I missing here?
