Default Black Chrome Grille - Where to buy?

I've been looking for the perfect grille for some time.

I don't like the aftermarket billett grilles, and really like the mesh looking grilles like the ones on the Denalis and R-type Jags. I prefer it to be black since my car is black.

Stillen states they have a Black Chrome Grille in their catalog, but when I went to Stillen, I was told they only have it for the G35.

I'm thinking of buying the regular chrome grille from Stillen, and painting it black. Will the paint chip? Should I iodize it? How much will that be?

Please post pics if you have a black grille installed. Thanks.

I would just get the billet and have it powdercoat to the color you want. That is what I am going to do with mine, in Blue.

How much is it to powercoat? Will it chip?

Also, I plan to cut out the plastic stock grille, and set the grille deep back. Do you know how difficult this is?

I got the black-chrome street scene grille. Sorry I don't have any pics that are closer....I like it...but it is still a bit too shiny for what I wanted......I think I might just have it powdercoated a flat black.

A full grill is about 80 bucks to PC depending ont he color you use. Gloss/Flat Blacks should be less. As far as it chipping, it would take a good size rock smacking it to chip it. Look at it like the same stuff that is on the outside of the stove or Fridge, Very tough. There is shop in GA here that does great work and gives great prices.

Hope you get it worked out.
