as I mentioned, Nissan now has a policy that the wheel has to be purchased at, and installed by one of their dealerships for liability reasons. I may have a way around this now, just waiting on details

How about if waivers are signed by purchasers exluding Nissan from the certain liability reasons?

Maaan I remember ordering the wheel from you, and unfortunately Nissan started having problems right when I was going to receive it.

OMG! If you guys @ Z1 can get this I want one!!!!! I bet if you guys get these to the states you'll sell all of them in 48 hours. These are sooo HOT!

And for all of you who don't know already THEY DO WORK WITH THE US MODELS AND THEY DO KEEP THE AIRBAGS!!!! There are a couple (2 I believe) that have the steering wheel that looks exactly like the Evo one. They said it fits no problem!!!

As far as I know, the Z comes with 2 optional steering wheels .. both are 3 spoke.

Your 4 spoke wheel is most likely an optional steering wheel for other Nissan models in Japan.

It is also very similar to the steering wheels found in the Subaru Legacy.

those are the two I like! They are frickin' awesome looking! But a part of me still wants the whole UK Burnt Orange leather package for the steering wheel lower quarter and shiftknob/ebrake boot...

its going to take time guys - it is something I am cultivating, but honestly not a huge priority as I have a business to run and a day to day life to live - as I have more updates, I'll post them, I promise

I actually remember the first time you posted a picture of your steering wheel and I couldn't wait to get one! I had a friend pick up mine while he was over in Japan doing buisness with Nissan/Infiniti about 3 months later, but he thought the "Evo" version that I have went a little better with the interior of the car so he bought that one... I agree that the feel is much better than stock. Also contrary to a couple of other posts, my wheel DOES have the airbag installed. As far as the cruise control, my car was is a Base model so I didn't have CC.

I got it a couple of years ago and the figure $561 sticks in my mind, but I'm not sure what the exchange rate is now vs then. As far as shipping it, you may have to have them ship it for you.
