It is harder to create a shape that is SUPPOSED to look like something.

Daewoo,
Thanks for the pics. Plus your level headed response to the negative comments is a breath of fresh air on ths forum.
Even if the panels aren't everybody's cup of tea, it's way cooler to have made something yourself that you like rather than buying some part and slapping it on.

10secapsttz -- thanks man!
pgh2atl -- they really don't bother me at all when I am driving. I really don't notice they are there. If anything, I only worry about my oils from my skin degrading the clearcoat over time. So, I keep a coat of wax on them. I would imagine similar concerns with suede and leather.
taurran -- "I'd like it a lot better if it didn't have the "350z" on it. Some solid silver panels would be great."
But that would have been too easy Nah but the plain FG doors do look nice. That was the original plan, but really seemed too easy. Once I decided the mold in the speaker covers my mind kinda started wondering ... and then b4 you know it bam!!
Severed Ties - What are they doing? Just simply flat doors?
Santacruzslick -- the doors that inspired me had really faint Zs in each door. Looked really nice. Car belongs to a really nice guy too.
.Sin -- thx
Maizzze -- Thx. Much of the stuff I have done to my Z gets criticized by one person or another.
Many think the VS V3 kit is too aggressive. Many think the kit sets it apart from all others.
Many think the wide body destroys the lines of the Z. Many think it only adds to the beauty of the lines.
Many think I have too many TVs. many love playing x-box from the rear bumper.
Some think the yellow lights don't look good. Other think they are cool b/c they look JDM and match the fogs.
I had a LOT of people ask me to make these for them. I have an MBA and sit at a desk all day. I do this stuff for fun and for the challenge. But if folks really wanted me to make some, I was willing to look into it. Plus, just like I was inspired to do these, hopefully someone will be inspired to one up me and do something far better.
So, like I said b4, please comment freely. We r all big boys around here and even negative criticisms can be enlightening

I have personally seen the car and it does look alot better in person than it does in the pictures. Remember that his car is pretty much all show and that's what the judges look for, originality. I think the doors look really good especially since this is only his second fiberglass project.
Keep up the good work John. By the way have you decided to keep the car?

Daewoo,
Opinions are like a$$ holes, some stink and others don't, but everyone has one. As long as your happy with the results, thats all that matters.
Props on your attemt to venture off to something you said your are not to experienced with, there is only one way to learn and thats try'll and error.

for a show car, thats a definitely a very unique idea. I agree with the rest on the wavy of it, but thats solves by bondo and sanding like the rest said also.
Definitely, not my style at all, but with alittle more work could look really good and be an awesome custom addition to a show cars interior.
