How to For Aluminum Kick Plates

I have standard kick plates and have been looking to upgrade to aluminum ones. I see one plastic rivet toward the back, but don't see how to remove the old and install the new. Any advice would be helpful.

i broke the rivets on mine

if all else fails just use 3M double sided tape like i did
