I want to smoke my tail lights desperately but the only kit I've seen is on e-bay for $50 just for film. I was wondering if there is any online stores that sell the kit for a decent price. Thanks

Has anyone had safety concerns or issues with these? I went on the Galveston Z cruise yesterday and drove behind a Z with these overlays and while they look awesome, the brightness/visibility of the brake lights is greatly reduced. I want a set bad, but I'm just affraid of getting rear ended (already had a bad experience the day I bought the car...) and have it faulted to me b/c I have the tail lights smoked.

 

I don't know about Zs, but with the Gs LEDs - that's not an issue. The 06 Zs will have LEDs also, but that doesn't do anything for the earlier cars.

The darkest overlays only block out 30% of the light. The next step is 17%.

 

I would love these on my Z but here in VA I would be just asking for a ticket and if that happens it will not be the only ticket I get that day. Sucks because they look great!

 

Keep in mind, with my Overlays, the reflectors are still visible underneath! and that's with my 6/10 tint. I also have a lighter 3/10 as well .
