Hello all. I am in Texas and the law states that I need a front license plate. I didn't want to drill into bumper and I didn't want to use the Z-bracket for the billet grille (did not want to obstruct airflow to radiator). So instead I cut the edges of my plate to fit into the grill area, driver's side. I just zip-tied it to the grille. This left more area open in front of radiator. My question: Am I blocking air to anything vital with my license installed here? I noticed a black plastic housing or part just behind plate.

When I originally took pics I did it because I was too lazy to photoshop it. I always see people posting pics with their plates blurred/marked out. I never knew why, but I just thought I'd do the same. It's my ghetto photoshop.

You realize in 4 days that the front plate law is no longer in effect. You can read about it on the state website. After Sept 1st we no longer need the front plate.
On the same note, in Austin you can no longer smoke inside resturaunts or bars. FINALLY!

I don't see anything about change in plate law in Texas.
Something interesting. If you scan down you'll see:
HB 2257 allows the TxDOT commission to establish a daytime speed limit of 80 miles per hour on I-10 or I-20 in Crockett, Culberson, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Kerr, Kimble, Pecos, Reeves, Sutton or Ward counties. If established, this speed does not apply to truck tractors, trailers, semi trailers, or trucks, other than light trucks and light trucks pulling a trailer. This bill took effect immediately.

My filter is just in front of driver's side wheel well. I can see the amber side markers when I look down to see the filter. Turns downward at same area where a JWT popcharger filter would sit. Does that description help?
I am actually thinking about changing my intake to the popcharger.
