Most grills sold can be easily removed anyway so I wouldn't worry about it. I had the T-Rex grill & there is only 4 screws to worry about. Takes no more than 5 minutes to remove.

I have the E&G Classic Grille from Courtesyparts.com. They have a version with & without the tow hook hole. I opted for the one with the hole.

Default My situation is worse.

I have the K&N Typhoon intake (which uses the hole for the tow hook) and a license plate bracket (which blocks the front of the tow hook area). When I go to the track and an official insists that I have a tow hook in place, in takes me about 45 minutes to rearrange everything.

Nice grill setup (I use the toe hook for a license plate setup). I wonder what a silver grill would look like on a Lemans Sunset...

Mine was the more pricer version. Cost about $250 but I know there are cheaper/similar versions out there. I just liked the look of the T-Rex overall. As far as the intall, it's very easy. Like I mentioned above there are 4 screws. These screws attach to metal hooks which attach onto your OEM grill. As you tighten the screws the grill is tightly fastened against your OEM grill. Should take about 5-10 minutes so long as you allign the hooks right. I'd suggest pre-screwing the hooks slightly then position them in before you tighten.

Here's an old picture of my car with the T-Rex grill:

Leeward,

Here is a link to the grille I got. http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...=350Z-GRILLE-H

I PM'd partspeddler (I think which was a vendor when I ordered mine) and got a discounted price. I forgot what I exactly paid for it but it lists for $230.00.

To install the grille, you need masking tape. Do not, I repeat, do not install without masking tape. You'll end up messing up your paint job if you don't. After you tape off the grille, you need to unscrew the 6 bolts under the front of the car. If you look under the car, you can see them (or you can run your hand along the bottom of the bumper. After unscrewing the bolts, you can pull the plastic (water guard) piece down and reach one hand behind the bumper. It's probably best for 2 people to help install but that's what the masking tape is for (a margin for error on your paint). I think the grille comes with a hex/J wrench. You have to jimmy your arm behind the bumper to hold the fastener across the OEM grille while tightening the hex screw.

Once you got it fastened, that sucker ain't movin'.

I did run into one issue. There are 2 hex screws, 1 on each end of the grille, that you cannot access from behind the bumper because they are blocked off. I just used a thin screwdriver to hold the fastener while I tightened.

I have a billet grill on my Z right now which looks good until you see the tow hook hole behind one of the bars. It's obvious because the hole is painted silver which is very visible with the aluminum bars. Has anyone else seen this or is there any way to remove this hole?
