Default Passenger Side Window Not Working (Almost)

long story short...

i get home and im rolling up the windows before i turn off the car. i pull on the auto up buttons. my driver side closes all the way but my passenger side stops about 3 inches from the top.

i tried again, nothing. both window buttons for the passenger side dont work. the window wont go up or down with either of the bottons.

however, i know for a fact that its not the motor thats gone bad. i can still roll up the passenger side window. i just have to get out of the car, put the key in the key hole, turn and hold the key. that the only way it will roll up or down.

i called the dealership, and they said they want to keep the car for the whole day to "diagnose". theres no need for me to have to keep my car there for a while day just to find out whats wrong with it. its a window, not an engine. if its something i can do, i'd rather just do that.

anyone have any possible causes?

thanks.

They probably just need to replace the motor. I've had my driver's side replaced two times under warranty... I'm hoping this time it holds out.

might have something to do with the whole obstruction sensor thingamajig. mine goes all the way up; and then back down half way when I do auto up if I just got in and its really hot out.

actually my car does a whole lot of things wierd when its hot out. it doesnt like the heat; I cant blame it.

lol. thats good to know.

i ended up dropping it off at the dealer today. they want to charge me since i have lambo doors. i told them that i've had them over a year and here's what he said; "aftermarket modifications do that sometimes". yeah right. my lambo doors slowly sucked the life out of my passenger side window switches. my driver side window needs to be carefull, it could be next...OMG!!! lol.
