I just ordered that engine cover emblem from Nissan earlier today.
It's cheap like $16. Smaller and cheaper than the Z Satin Badge that I thought I wanted at first. I think smaller is better here.

Here's the part number it you need it. 14048-z33ec. Just be aware that it is plastic like the other outside emblems and it has a pin on the back you'll have to remove it or if it fits one of those hole it might be just the thing we are looking for. It does come with the double sided tape already on it so it should be perfect. I'll post a couple pictures here when it's done the end of next week. It looks better than the Nissan hamberger that I have on the rear of my Pathfinder even though it was about the same size.

I know I could have gone to the wreckers and picked one up. But, I would have spent more than $16 in time and gas doing it. It will be nice to have a NEW one anyways.

CF came in the mail yesterday so I am set.

Thanks for your response.
thanks for the part no. dude, im going to get PerfNissan to send one down with the tail lights

i agree the engine emblem looks better than the Pathfinders. The older Nissan emblems had a smaller circle piece, so the centre rectangle looks longer. The engine mblem, and also the newer nissan badges like on the Xtrail, the semi-circle base is around the same width as the rectangle bit. That little detail makes all the diff to me

def post pics when its done!!!

I do not know how that will help you. However, they are 5mm in size and round. The ones you see above had a little silicone sealer in there so it looks like they are out of round. They are not.

Here is the present rear emblem I have on my car:

With the 'Z' on the rear strut bar in the window it looks just right now.

Here are my emblems. Still undecided about removing the 350Z part.

Coke or Pepsi? Too each his own. Theres no hidden meaning in debadging a car except that that's what you want it to look like. theres no badges for the Z that specifies a base from a grand touring model.

I've got a black Z with the front emblems, side emplems, rear emblems and door handles shaved off. It looks great.

Variety is the spice of life. Everyone should just go with whatever makes them happy. Most of my friends are into hip-hop while I'm into old school funk, punk, mod, and reggae but we all get along famously.

I like the shaved look but I also like the partially shaved look-whatever floats your boat...

And while it's true that some European car owners shave the emblems on their base models, I've also seen a handful of debadged M5's and E55's and they look quite clean. But then again (debadged or not) nobody will think your driving the base model when you've got conspicuous quad tips protruding from your rear bumper and and a mean *** exhaust rumble.
