Is carbon fiber difficult to paint?

Most of the hoods I like only come in carbon fiber and I don't want a black hood so I was wondering, is Carbon fiber hard to paint?

Thanks, was told years ago that it was hard to get paint to stick to it but didn't know if that was true or not.
