Default Seibon Hood with Vortech

I am looking at getting a Seibon FC hood in January and was wondering if anyone had done this yet. I am looking at VT hood. I have a friend who has the HKS SC and got a Seibon hood and it would not shut because of the SC and/or the fluid covers. He sent it back to Seibon and bought a Veilside V2 hood and it hits the SC. I want to know if this will work before I drop $700 on a hood that will not fit.

Also, how is the fitment of the Seibon hoods. Do they line up correctly without excessive gaps? Do they shut completely witout gaps in the front? Lastly, with both of these hoods being vented, would I run any risk of damaging the electronic components on the motor or in the SC blower?

TIA,
Zach

Can you post some up close pix of the fitment of the hood? Did any mods have to be done to the hood to make it fit correctly?

Thanks,

well i had the VS style hood, but it is the same mold.... I don't have up close pics of it, but all I did was raise the hood latch a little and it shuts perfectly and fits perfectly.... doesn't hit anything at all... i can't take up close pics cause my car is in shop, has been for a while.... but I am getting the VT style hood shortly.... i can' post pics then, but that might be another month or so...

I am sure you can search for it? wish I could help more.

these are the pics I have that you can look at, I have the vortech in, and you can see the lines of the hood are flush with the car... hope this helps. the hood pins were already in when I got the hood, so another reason i am changing hoods is cause i don't want hood pins...
