The crime rate must be zero in L.A if they have time and resources to ticket parked cars. Pesky gang members must have moved on else where.

I have gotten them from both cops and parking enforcement. However, most parking enforcement workers typically dont leave the citation if its shown on the dashboard. That worked for a while, until I parked in Beverly Hills and a motorcycle cop decided to leave me a citation on my wipers. Like I said, they're little you can do to avoid them.

So, here is what I found works... 100%:
- Do not park on public property, park on private garages and lots, or valet.
- When you drive, avoid being seen.

However, I also noticed that I would get out of more important tickets, with lesser citations (ie: license plate). For instance, rather than giving me a ticket for driving a stripped car with no dashboard, exhaust, illegal motor, clear sidemarkers, or just about any other violation you can think of -- the cop gave me a license plate ticket. Example works again in this situation, where I was let off for speeding and simply issued a front license plate ticket.

So, it really depends.. its a toss-up. Sometimes I think to myself, if I DID have a license plate, I'de be getting a citation for an even bigger item which would be more time consuming to resolve.

Living in the city, its just a lot of fun... this is how the city generates revenue, photo enforced intersections and license plate citations.

Worst cops in the country, and I like cops. Just 1 more reason to hate smelL.A. I was thinking about taking a job in B.H. but forget about it!

Typically, cops tend to be the more normal people around here. I'de say the people in Los Angeles are the real space cadets...

LA itself is a great place, the beach and mountains are all close. Its too bad the people are just so detached from real life. Its that "big city" mentality and over population, you kinda get numb when all most people do is strugle for work out here. Or, you're just too rich and dont know what to do with your money (other than make more money with it).

You've got a spyware program installed on your Internet Explorer installation. Dump IE and go with Firefox or Opera or run Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, and Microsoft Defender (known as Microsoft Anti-Spyware up until yesterday) - you need two out of the three as a minimum.

Either that or go to Macintosh or Linux and not have to worry about spyware at all.

Duct Tape

In TX, front plate is required.
A while back, certain county allowed you to put the plate back on to have the ticket dismissed...well, I used a duct tape.

After the inspection...peeled it right off. LOL

I mounted mine BEHIND the factory grill. Looks stealthy, and when I get pulle dover cops say "you cant have that there" I tell them ok I dindt know Ill put it infront. I don tlike the brackets that sit on the front they look horrible, they ruin the lines of the front bumper.

yeah, i got pulled over just for no license plate in El Segundo. The cop apologized, but still gave me the ticket. I think it was quota day. I think these cops just pull us over because of the car. My friend drives a BMW, and seems to get away.

I designed something similar to the stillen bracket for 5 bucks. I can now tell my mom that I used that engineering degree for something good.

yes you have nothing to worry about. they are sponsored links and just another annoying marketing thing my350z is doing. but i would suggest keeping firefox. it really does work awesome and i have MUCH less pop ups than i used to.

as far as the front plate thing is concerned, i have never put one on my car. in the last 10 months, i've received one ticket for it. i went to the dealership ship and took pictures off all of the Z's in the lot that didn't have a front plate. i took pics of the 3 Z's in the back that were being serviced, which none had a front plate. then i ziptied my plate to the grill, took pics, then cut it right back off. i drove to court, with NO front plate, got the ticket dismissed for 10 bucks, and never thought about it again. since when is a cop going to need to look at your front plate? they always tail you anyways... it's a retarded law made just to give cops one more way to make money.

Hi Lidrew,
The only way I can think of is to patch the front bumper. You will have to debur the holes and then you are left with clean holes. The next step would be to get an epoxy that is flexable, yet rigid. After it is all said and done, it still will never look as good as no holes. I would recomend leaving them.

Sponsored links? Not on my computer ... I must not be running the required spyware.
