I didn't buy the car to drag race it, I'm not going to go pro with the car on the track. I'm not going to push the car pass 400hp. So it's mostly for show(40% performance mods/60% looks mods, as you can tell in my signiture, it's mostly performance mods so far). And I hope to enter more car shows when I have more looks mods. Been in one car show already and next time, I want a wow factor. I didn't really get the wow factor that I wanted when I was betwreen a Prowler and a c6.

When I was a kid, I always admired cars with different door styles, suicide doors, vertical doors, upper hinges doors, etc. I bought this car because when I was a kid, I always dreamed about having a TT 300ZX, so this lambo door mod will complete one of my dreams when I was a kid.

It's not a useless mod when it makes you happy.

i had it, my friends had it...soon or later we all regretted...
too many freakin problems...
and lambo doors are not WOW factor...

Two of my friends have vertical door kits. They are both show cars and to me and to alot of others, they are wow factors. The one with the 350Z got it done at a shady shop that cut corners and it screwed up his fenders. so he got them removed and replaced his fenders with carbon fiber fenders. He even admitted that the shop he took it to did a cheap install, he wished he went with my other friends shop.

The other friend with the same kit took it to a top notch body shop and spent some bling to get it done and has had no problems.

It depends on how much you want to spend.

Personally, I get a smile on my face whenever I see lambo doors, so for me, it is a wow factor. Maybe not for you anymore, but I still have a passion for them.

What brand kit did you have? That's how I felt before going with the LSD kit. Now I have none of those issues, it just works right.

Wow it's amazing how much we have in common dude. I went to 1 car show, and I did not get the wow factor that I wanted either...that's why I'm going TT, VDC, etc now. Always wanted a 300ZX TT too...

anyways just a heads up, I got my VDC from Harry a couple weeks ago for around $2000cdn. But kinda regret it now tho...found someone who deals with LSD here in Vancouver and sells them for only like a grand more...should have gotten that. Oh well.

Yeah, the TT 300ZX was what started me into this sports car passion.

And speaking about passion, I kid you not, I have your car as a wallpaper on my computer. The one you posted with your car in motion. Love your setup so you can say your car is an inspiration to me as well

PS: thanks for the heads up on the Vancouver vertical doors, I'll note that when summer comes again and I decide wheather it's vertical doors or new rims
