Default rear wiper removal, new cover found

no need for that kitchen sink hole cover crap!

i found a piece in the engine bay that can be used to cover the hole.
its a black cap that youll see when you pop your hood. its snapped into the bar that goes over the radiator. theres two of them, one on the left and one on the right. pop it out, cut the tabs off the underside (takes 2 sec with xacto knife, the tabs prevent it from going in at first) paint it(its black) and put it in the hole with some sealant and be done!

Please post pix of the cap in the engine bay and installed in the hole in the hatch. Also, what is the diameter of the cutout in the hatch for the wiper motor to come thru? I have access to either 7/8" or 1" black Capplugs from work and am wondering if these will fit.

TIA,
Zach

heres the plug, pops out fairly easy. it covers the whole just like the wiper gasket(same diameter).
As for hole size, i dont know the dimensions.

A 7/8" black nylon hole plug from Lowes or home depot works well to. The sink hole cover is just 2 big!

Thanks also! I was thinking it was about that size by looking at the opening.

No prob, and the same size size cover works great if you want to remove the rear sprayer to.

Are there any writeups on the process to remove the wiper?

Do a search under rear wiper removal and you should find several step by step.

Good Luck!

I took my wiper off and covered the hole using the rubber groment from the wiper and a 3/4" stainless steel chair slide. added a little silicone, job done in 20 minutes and cost a total of 32 cents. Having a black car, I just sprayed it gloss black.

The slide I am refering to is a 3/4" disk that has a nail in to put on the bottoms of chair legs to make them slide easier. Any Home Depot or Lowes.
