Default Bat LS Rear Strut Overlay - help me decide! (VOTE)

I have applied Bat's rear strut overlay. I got the overlay because:
1. Wanted to change from silver color.
2. It was on sale.
3. Cheaper than painting.
4. Cheaper than new (06) gunmetal cover.
5. Reversable by removing.
5. I have the light up door sills and the light up for the strut, didn't like the idea of the shiny SS plate on silver, wanted to try with LS strut cover.

The light up plate requires drilling a hole in the cover for the wires, so it is not easily removable to go back to stock. So please vote if I should install the light up or not. I have mixed emotions about it. I have included pictures with the cover overlay, and with the light up on top. If I don't install it, I will sell it here in the classifieds.

I have never installed an overlay before, I took my time, used soapy water, cloth covered credit card, and hair dryer, worked great for me. Thanks BAT!

I think it would look pretty sweet, however the oranges might clash...that would be my one worry.

Wow. I never thought of the color of the lights. Hmmm. Thanks, sometimes the obvious is overlooked. I know someone else here did this, if you are reading this please provide input.

Added a lights on picture. Don't think it matters, if it is dark enough to see lights, you don't really see the LS background.

Unless you're showing the car, I say NO on the lights. The overlay's purpose is to make the silver strut less noticable. Lights are going to be annoying as all hell.

Light would only work when hatch is open. I agree, I was of mixed emotions on installing the lights from the get go. I have installed it without lights, added pictures below. I like it without the light.

I can see why you did that - it should make the bar look silver all the way across. Do you have any pictures you could load? Thanks.

I don't really like that light plate, looks kind of cheesy, but that paint job is sweet!
