You mean like this?

It is from my projector retrofit project for my G. The first thing you need to do is to crack open your headlights and replace your frensel lens with a clear one. Next you can either place spacers in between the projector lens and reflector bowl. Or you can bend the cutoff shield for more color.

your aim is way off. You need to 1 push the shield, 2 get clear lenses.

what size is the lens on the 350z projector.

I did it by using 8k Kelvin bulbs, seems easier!

Great looking mod, but sorry 8k is not rice.... riced out cars use blue tinted halogen bulbs... friend has 8k's and theyre pretty bright and a great color. I have 6000k philips and theyre an awesome purplish, and plenty bright.

What is your definition of rice then? Taking a 25+% hit in light output for some color certainly isn't a good idea imo.

and you....... hmmm still 3x brighter than halogens....... and your point? Lighting up everyting in front of you with a nice color is rice.... oh and every cosmetic mod is ride too. Tint must be rice too.... less light in the car..... dangerous at night eh? lol.... anyway i might pick up 12k's just for ***** and giggles, swap em in every once in a while to draw some attention, theyre like 90 bucks. When you see 14k on the road your just like holy ****.... and theyre still bright as hell. These are hid's were talking about not colored glass bulbs.

Accordaleer, you need to do some reading on Kelvin ratings and light output. If 12k and 14k bulbs seem "bright as hell" to you, you seriously need to get your eyes checked. Each of those produces A LOT LESS light than a $5 halogen bulb from Wal-Mart. Don't believe it? Please prove otherwise.

How about reading up on the subject before attempting to strike down others' logic?

OEM 4300k d2s bulbs put out 3200-3400 lumens. Philips ultinon 6000k puts out 2400 lumens. Then it drops off significantly from there. H7 Halogen puts out 1500 lumens. Can you explain how your 6000-12000k bulbs put out 3x a halogen's output when stock only doubles the output of a halogen bulb?

no im not actually..... my 6k are a ton lighter than **** brown halogens.

So heres some quotes.
4300k - 3200lm output
6000k - 2800lm output
8000k - 2550lm output
10000k - 2200lm output
14000k - 2100lm output

I beleive that last one is 14k, im not sure about 12k. But yes it drops off i dont deny that, but im preeeety sure just about every hid bulb is still brighter than a 1500lm halogen. pwned? dont think so.

Where is the spec sheet you got those numbers from, or were they made up from some HID dealer trying to make money off of you. I can post actual spec sheets for bulbs from reliable manufacturers
OEM 4100k-3200lumens
http://www.lamptech.co.uk/Spec%20She...lips%20D2S.htm
Philips 85122CM 4800k-3100lumens
http://www.autolamps-online.com/gasd.../d2%20CMPH.JPG
PHilips 85122wx 6000k ultinon(5800k)-2400lumens
http://www.lamptech.co.uk/Spec%20She...%20Ultinon.htm
Unless you are saying your source makes better bulbs than the biggest HID manufacturer on the planet, I think I'll believe real data

My mother told me those specs, she hand crafts the bulbs herself in every kelvin. You know the point im trying to make? I really dont care enough to do real research lol.... honestly, i dont like getting aggitated over my bulbs because i know theyre bright and look nice, so have a splendid night sir.
