I believe you can purchase these NISMO or 350Z brake caliper decals from a vendor on eBay. You should check those out.

However, the one you see in my pics were created by yours truly. We have a vinyl cutter at work that can cut out these types of labels. The vinyl we use can withstand a lot of heat so it makes perfect sense to utilize them on your calipers, if you so desire. In a rare moment at my job, our extremely overused cutter was actually sitting idle for a short period of time. I had previously scanned in the NISMO logo, so I would be ready to take full advantage if such an opportunity came about. With the cutter being available, I was able to use that scanned NISMO file (after sizing & flexing) to cut out the vinyl logos during my lunch break.

So far, they have held up quite well for the past two years with no problems.

You wouldn't be able to "find" another set of these for a few bucks would you? Maybe with the "Nism" portion in white?

I have Hawk HPS Brake Pads and haven't had to clean any brake dust in a couple months. Give them a try you will be very happy not having to clean your wheels daily.

I painted mine with the Yellow Duplicolor Kit. Took two full days of painting and drying. I applied 10 Coats to each caliper.

Nice job I'm getting a front BBK only, in the next week or so. I think I'm just gonna paint the rear calipers. It's all for show. I'm not worried about track use. I'm assuming it took you 10 coats to fill in all the pits and create a smooth glossy surface?

Use a self etching primer as a base coat. Sand them slighty to get the ruff look out if you want perfectly smooth looking finish. Then paint with high temp paint, or you can use other types of paint (I used model paint on my RX7 and it never faded or peeled from heat). Generally road driven cars (without excessive periods of hard use) only reach 500 degrees. If you track the car you absolutely need high temp paint. Then after a few coats of paint put on a few coats of clear coat. Then keep a layer of wax on the calipers to make brake dust removal easy. The yellow set above look like quality work.

I had a body shop paint mine the same color as the brembros. Then I ordered red 350z graphics from jvd, they look great. I you have them painted you should make sure that the paint can handle the heat BUT the body shop tec (a Friend) said reg. car paint with clear coat will work for longer than you own your car. Normal driving conditions will not create enough heat to ruin paint, I am proof. They still look great.

I would say that with the small stock calipers, paint them black so it doesn't draw attention. As for spray vs paint, with spray you gotta mask REALLY well, or its gonna be overspray hell all over your car. I really recommend the G2 paint, its really hard to chip it.

I have a PPW and painted mine black with Duplicolor Caliper Paint because I wanted to keep it low key. They are invisible in there and look even smaller than they are. If I had to do it again, I would probably go with silver just so there is not such a vacancy inside the wheels.

I used G2 paint and JVD graphics. G2 has excellent customer service. The paint on one of my calipers chipped and I contacted G2 and got a replacement paint kit. The JVD graphics are also nice and very durable.

Like I posted before, I put 10 Coats of Duplicolor on mine with no clear coat needed as it was in the paint.; Cost $15 for the kit (Cleaner, Tape, Paint , Brush) and $2 for extra brushes. Looks powdercoated.

Here are a couple of more pix,

Not to get off topic, but what Size are those tires? They look way low profile.

THANKS!!

Yes, It looked really good after about 6 or 7, but I wanted to coat them good. I still had half a can of paint left over from the kit too.

I actually do get comments on the brakes, people have been really positive about them. 99% of people see them for what they are, painted stock calipers that enchance the appearance of the car. The other one percent I have to break it to them that they are NOT Baer brakes..

SQ40, my front tires are 225/45 ZR18 and the back ones are 245/45 ZR18. They are Michelin Pilot Sports.
