Default ?? for those with window tint

ok. a guy i know that had a Z said that they wanted to keep his Z over night to tint the windows and unhook the battery cause of the automatic "sealing" that the windows do when you get in and out. did they have to do that when you all got yours done? if not then i guess it wont mess up right?

thanks

also if anyone with a PPW with tint has pictures i would love to see it. im debating on staying legal with 35% or going down to 15 on the sides and 7 on the back. i want to go dark, but the laws around here just got very strict

and did anyone get an "eyebrow"?

any pics with what % they are would be great

please dont get an eyebrow.

on my last car they told me not to move the window for 3 days. what hes saying makes sense, so the top edge gets a good chance to dry.

+1 is including the day they do the tint and 2 additional days. There's no need to keep the car over night. I have 5% tint on all my windows including visor strip. I have pics on my link in signature.

theres no need to keep it overnight but if he wants to make sure the top edge dries properly, the window cant move up and down against the rubber gasket of the door jamb, thats why hes suggesting leaving it with the battery disconnected.

If you race or are considering racing please read:

One of the most important tools is vision. Seeing the surroundings and other racers. Its possible to race in the rain and cloudy days. Don't compromise your vision with “cool looking” tint.

This is the 35% I have. Is it worth a ticket and having to get your tint replaced to go any darker than this?

I don't think so, but whatever floats your boat...

quite possibly but most tint shops that offer any type of warranty against peeling would suggest the same thing.

QUOTE]

I had 35% on my fronts on my last car and I thought it was too light, if I tinted the z it would definitly be 20% or darker all around.

Thats why you date someone who can get you the sticker allowing you to legally have what ever tint you want. 35% is not enough if you have audio equip. Too easy to see inside.
