I'm installing a couple gauges in my empty nav compartment and wanted to know if I could safely drill a hole in the back of it to run wires. I'm installing two AEM UEGO gauge, so I need to drill about a 1" hole to fit the harness through.

What's behind the nav area? I'd hate to drill into wires.

 

just pull it out to do all the work. it will probably turn out nicer in the end and you dont have to worry about drilling through anything. wont you have to take it out anyway to run the new wires behind it?
