something with a bit more of a shine. Do you think the stock ones can be polished out alittle. I dont really want them chrome as in rims, i guess bad word, just something with a bit of shine like if they were polished

arn't the stock tips stainless steel to begin with?
just buy some metal polish and spend an hour on them with an orbital buffer... garantee it'll come out nice and shiney
i use a $5 container of bluemagic and spent about an hour on my injen TD canister this past summer and they came out so shiney my buddy (following in another car) said i needed to dirty them up in case I blind drivers behind me lol

No you don't need an orbital. Mine was done by hand and they SPARKLE! One of the guys at the last cruise/meet actually pulled me aside and asked me "what the heck did you do to your tips?!?!? My girlfriend was saying how shiny your tips were since mine can never look that good!"
Honestly you need no more than 5 minutes per tip. Both should be done in under 10 minutes using Mother's Billet Aluminum Polish and a rag (definately use a rag...it will turn BLACK because of all the tarnish)
