Default HID and Halogen housings, the same?

2 of my brackets on my HID light are broken. Are the black rear housings on the halogens the same as the Xenon housings? My light works.. I'd pretty much be swapping the guts over to the new housing.. or are they completely different ?

The housings are similar, but you will also need to get the balasts and possibly different wiring for the HID's to work properly.

No, I have *everything* for my current HID light.. except the black housing on the light (the part where everything fits onto) is broken. I was wondering if I could swap my guts onto the new backing..
