Driver's side:
There is a little rubber cap at the bottom of the recess that you grab to shut the door on the driver's side. Remove it with a little flat-head screw driver to reveal a phillips screw. Take that screw out. Then you just need to pull up on that whole piece. It'll pop out.

Passenger side:
You'll need to remove the aluminum plate on the vertical handle. Do this very carefully with a small flat-head. It's just snapped in place. After you remove that piece, you'll need to remove 2 phillips (or 10mm) screws at the top and bottom of that piece. Then pull the whole handle out of the door. That will give you room to remove the passenger side window switch panel the same way as the driver's side.

You will, of course, need to disconnect the connectors from the switch panels once you've lifted them out of thier place.

Hope that helped and didn't just make it more confusing.

Hey i read the answer but am still confused. My 2006 350z GT has no recesed area. The handle goes all the way through. I looked everywhere for a screw and can't find one. Can anyone advise? Good photos here: https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#...8-6F70B2C13478

Robby, the inside of the doors changed in 06 and the switch panel you are asking about no longer has the hidden screw. The drivers side switch panel has 5 or 6 plastic pawl tabs on the sides and a couple of metal tabs on the ends. To remove use a butter knife or other implement and carefully pry all around the panel, and it will pop off.

Thanks Jennifer 2. I was just about to assume it pries off but I hate that feeling when you hear a snap that's louder than it should've been. So this gives me the confidence to do it.
