MAYBE you REST UR FEET WHILE U SHIFT? and rub against the matts...thats the only way i can think of that wear out like that...try pickin up ur big foots instead of restin on the matts...

Retarded, lol. I like the 06 alot, the previous style with the rubber looks like *** to me as you can see in the pics posted, but it blends really well with the new style/color and material of the new mats, they look great inside the car, you cant tell it has a big rubber peice.

I have a 2005 SB (manual) with only 3800 miles...the floor mat on the drivers side is starting to look likee yours atar350. I also own a 2005 Dodge Magnum (which is automatic) and the driver side floor mats are in the same shape.

The shoes I wear are soft soles so I don't know what the problem is other than cheap *** material with floor mats.

I have an '03 with about 45K miles on it and I daily this car--bottomline, mine are no where near worn like those, they actually look quite new still and the Z emblem on it is still clean and unstained

Yup, '05 floormats suck. I had mine replaced under warranty too. I don't know if they switched vendors or not but the 05 are POS. The 06 look like they will hold up better. Too bad i sold my 05, maybe I will buy a 06, hmmm, must go to autoshow this weekend see what else is out there.

I wonder if they did change the material or something, to keep costs down, thats what I was thinking because if Kragen floor mats dont wear down after two years in a manual car, then the material used must be cheaper then those, I think that Z emblem is bank to put on, the mats were probably costing Nissan 100+ and they were selling for less....who knows.

You know what's interesting is that the floormats on my 92 Maxima SE survived 6 years no problemo, however the floormats in the 05 Z couldn't last 3 months and I wear birkenstocks and soft soled sneakers most of the time. The floormats on the 05 RX330 seem equally thin and of poor quality. Not the same on my 01 IS300 which felt like thick Berber carpet.

I think it is just cost cutting, until enough owners ***** about it or their warranty claims go up too much, then they will react. Personally, I wish the vehicle did not come with floormats and the money saved, I would actually buy a set of Berber floormats. There is a company that sells them online as well as other companies that have much better floormats for the Z that are the same shape but much better quality.

Kudos to you! Although I save my warranty *****es for the major stuff or other Interior defects. I don't like to be known as a complainer for every little detail. Save that for the real expensive stuff. Most of all my Floor mats have had wear, I usually buy a second set just to say the car looks new ( won't with tore up mats ) but having a leased vehicle changes my perspective!

This is the first warranty issue I have had, the Z is really reliable, I wouldnt call it *****ing, more of a need, the carpets wore through to the under carpet, pretty ridiculous, I was already going to buy the 06 style but thought to ask the dealer first, they said the warranty was up, and to call 1800nissan, I did, couple days later they said that I had new mats at the dealer, cant go wrong....wear and holes are different things btw.
