front grill painting

front grill painting

Has anyone considered just painting the actual horizontal grill strips with chrome or silver paint? Or was there a reason that most of you stayed away from that idea and went for the door strips from Pep Boys?

I have the stillen grill and I think come spring I'll be painting it black. along with a few other parts.
